  1. Allow support for multiple NUMA groups in order to fully utilize certain CPU's

    Instead of Passware only supporting NUMA group 0, give other NUMA groups the support. Granted that most people will be using consumer CPU's, but for some like myself using old Xeon server CPU's. Only half of the CPU is being utilized when being used in Passware, due to the design of the CPU architecture. If only half of the CPU is being used, then that means the other half is sitting doing nothing and that's leaving performance on the table. Instead, having the ability to fully utilize these NUMA groups, can allow older hardware to continue to be used.

  6. Dockerization / Containerization of Passware Forensic Kit Agent

    To make use of the most up to date server and cloud infrastructure, the Linux and Windows agents should be refactored to support a deployment as a Docker image.

    In such a containerization, the software will then be able to rapidly scale up and down (depending on the needed agent requirements for the cracking attempt) with software such as Kubernetes.

    Ideally, the Forensic Kit agent would also have features added to spin up agent instances (via Kubernetes as Docker images, or pure VM instances as images), to be able to utilize any required cloud provider that offers hosted GPUs (Azure…

  8. Decrypt .flk encrypted disk containers

    I've been struggling to decrypt a .flk encrypted container file on my USB hard drive. It's built with Folder Lock and I know the password but Passware seems unable to recognize and decrypt it successfully. The Folder Lock application crashed and is showing 0 out of 800Gb of data in the encrypted disk container.

  9. Support for cracking of hashes (generically) like John the Ripper

    Could Passware please incorporate generic hash cracking, such as that done by John the Ripper? This would add some much needed capacity to distribute such hashes across lots of machines (very helpful for those of us with Lab Edition). Currently I am cracking some hashes with JtR but since it is standalone and not distributed, it is nowhere near as efficient as it could be. Simply incorporating JtR into the Passware tool to allow agents to be brought in would be fantastic, and also add real flexibility to the tool

  17. ChromeOS support

    Google is growing in the market with selling Chromebooks. If it is a Chromebook with Windows it is the standard way to make an image.

    If it is a Chromebook with ChromeOS on it there is literally no way to gain any information at all (without knowing the Google-Credentials) or even if the credentials are known to gain data without changing the device hard drive (logical image).

    As of now we haven't seen so many devices with ChromeOS but I suppose it will change quickly in the next 1-3 years.

  18. Add support for decrypting TLS sessions

    Decryption of sessions from packet captures, if possible. Possibly by getting site cert info from live site and using key exchange in the packet capture? I know Wireshark can do this, but only for RSA key exchanges. Support for all TLS sessions would be very useful (at least to me :-) ) Thank you.

    There is a single subscription website login now, even for multiple licenses. It is very difficult to administer access to individual users.
