Mac versions of Passware Kit 2022.2 now support OpenCL technology. It means that all time-consuming password recovery processes, which could be previously accelerated on Windows only, can now be also accelerated on macOS with AMD GPU and NVIDIA/AMD eGPUs. Hardware acceleration on Mac is an experimental feature dependent on Apple’s OpenCL drives, which are not 100% reliable.

  3. Would you consider providing a Mac version for all Passware Kit editions? I’m a Mac user and would love to buy your software, but it’s quite disappointing to see that only Passware Kit Forensic comes with a Mac version. Unless I pay for the most expensive edition (containing features I don’t need), I would be forced to run the software in a Windows VM (degraded performance) or would have to boot into Windows, which is not very convenient. Thanks guys!

  8. Sorting… I like to sort the network clients so I can easily find missing clients. Computer names are sequential or based on models with location so I can easily locate one that is down. 2018v1.2 new UI eliminated this ability along with high level x number of systems calculating/connected. When you are managing 100 clients or more, these features are critical.

  12. Combine the results HTML file and the logs text file to one text file.

Why do I have to go to two different tabs to save the logs and why are the logs in two different file formats (HTML and text)?

I have to print the log to a standard Word template we use. The case number, dates, page numbers, details of the jobs are important to have in the log. I am using the Forensic version.

  13. The Passware Kit's user interface should in my opinion give more information about what's happening and how are the computing resources really utilised. An overstall statistics shadows information such as that one of X GPUs is not computing or that agent #3 is connected, but not working.

Released in Passware Kit 2018 v3.

Detailed information on each Passware Kit Agent is now displayed, including performance and hardware information and an overall summary for all of the Agents connected.

It is also now possible to sort and filter the list of Passware Kit Agents based on their performance and status.

  14. Some of the attacks don't let you enough freedom, making impossible to configure some specific attacks. For example: "do not repeat characters" --> agd (test it) - aad (don't test it) - ada (test it)
Advance configuration (or a language to configure attacks) could reduce wasted decryption tests and TIME!.

  15. Currently to crack linux passwords you have to copy one user from the shadow file into a text file and then drag and drop that file into passware in order to crack the account. Having support for multiple accounts hashes or the actual shadow file would greatly improve processing.
